Build a supinated children’s shoe webshop from scratch
The problem
Our client wanted to create an online store for children’s shoes that would be inexpensive to maintain, easily customizable, and capable of being optimized for speed. Furthermore, solutions were required for inventory management, shipping, invoicing, and the uploading of products (including images, descriptions, product codes, etc.).
The solution
The choice fell on WooCommerce, which functions as a WordPress plugin and is easily customizable and optimizable. It offers excellent support for parcel shipping and invoicing. The SEO and Google Ads plugins are also outstanding, allowing everything to be managed and analyzed in one place.
The scope
- Selecting a domain provider, registering a domain, and requesting necessary resources
- Installing and configuring WordPress; setting up backups
- Installing and configuring WooCommerce
- Installing and configuring a shipping/logistics plugin
- Integrating an invoicing system
- Setting up Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and other legal requirements
- Integrating Google Analytics
- Integrating Google Merchant Center
- Integrating Google Ads
- Setting up Facebook Catalog and Pixel
- Setting up OptinMonster
- Setting up Mailchimp
- Configuring automations
- Product photography
- Uploading products, entering product data (using an SEO plugin), and adding images
Main parts of the system
Marketing and strategy
By integrating OptinMonster with Mailchimp, I created an automated lead-generation system that continuously captures potential customers without requiring daily manual effort. The resulting database has become one of the most valuable assets, enabling high conversion rates during peak seasons with minimal marketing expenditure.
Google GA4 and Google Ads
Thanks to GA4 e-commerce tracking and the integration with Google Ads, campaigns do not run blindly; instead, they receive continuous, data-driven feedback. Furthermore, tracking secondary conversions—such as adding items to the cart or initiating the checkout process—helps the Google Ads algorithm learn more quickly and target parents with purchase intent more accurately, even when transaction volumes are low.
Products and datasyncronization
Google Merchant Center is not merely a technical requirement; it is the foundation of advertising performance. By standardizing product imagery, ensuring the precise entry of product identifiers, and implementing real-time synchronization with Meta and Google via CTX Feed, I have enabled advertising platform algorithms to receive the highest-quality data—ultimately resulting in lower costs per click and improved conversion rates.
Package delivery
By optimizing parcel shipping and implementing a centralized logistics platform, I not only managed to keep shipping costs at an affordable level but also reduced the entire administrative workload—including invoicing and label printing—to a mere fraction of what it once was. This type of automation enables a single person to serve customers seamlessly and professionally.
Creating an online store is easy—there are ready-made systems available—but the task does not end there. Countless issues arise that are not immediately obvious, and simply launching the online store does not provide a solution.
